Decentralized waste management is not merely an environmental obligation under the Solid Waste Management (SWM) Rules, 2016; it is also a fundamental pillar of human dignity, institutional hygiene, and public health. Green Planet Solutions has received an order and executed an on-site organic waste composting installation at Kinara Vruddha & Matimand Seva Trust, located at Ahirwade Phata, near Kamshet in the Maval taluka of Pune district, Maharashtra.
To mark the operationalization of this project, Mrs. Pallavi Pawar, Director of Green Planet Solutions, visited the ashram campus to personally review operations and interact with Mrs. Priti Vaidya, the revered founder of Kinara Trust. The visit captured in-depth discussions on solving institutional kitchen waste, touring the community dining facilities, and interacting with the resident senior citizens who call Kinara their home.

Founded in 2009 by Mrs. Priti Vaidya, Kinara Vruddha & Matimand Seva Trust is a beacon of hope for senior citizens and mentally vulnerable individuals who have been deserted by their families or found wandering destitute on streets, railway platforms, and bus stations. Starting with modest beginnings, the trust has grown into a comprehensive residential sanctuary in the scenic rural backdrop of Ahirwade, Kamshet.
Kinara provides 100% free residential shelter, nutritious four-time daily meals, medical nursing care, psychological support, and clothes to over 100 residents. The trust also runs active rescue operations with local police authorities, successfully tracing and reuniting hundreds of lost elderly parents with their families across India.

Preparing wholesome, hygienic meals for more than a hundred senior citizens, medical patients, and dedicated caregivers requires an industrious institutional kitchen. The ashram's kitchen operates continuous meal services—from morning tea and warm breakfast to freshly cooked lunches, evening refreshments, and dinners.
This daily scale generates a heavy volume of organic kitchen waste: vegetable trimmings, fruit peels, onion skins, leftover rice and dal, tea dregs, and food prep scraps. In a tranquil rural valley like Ahirwade:

To solve the ashram’s waste challenge sustainably and permanently, Green Planet Solutions deployed its proven Decentralized Organic Waste Composting Technology. The machine is engineered for effortless daily handling by ashram housekeeping staff:
Accelerated biological thermophilic aerobic digestion converts vegetable trimmings and cooked food scraps into mature, stable organic compost in just 24 hours.
The fully sealed stainless-steel digestion chamber and advanced internal aeration prevent anaerobic stagnation, eliminating foul odors, flies, and maggots entirely.
The process produces rich organic manure with high organic carbon and beneficial microbes, which the trust uses directly to nourish campus trees, flower gardens, and organic vegetable patches.
100% of organic waste generated inside the care home is repurposed on-site, ensuring zero waste is dumped into open environment or rural ravines.
